I recently purchased two vintage Native American collections and finally located new jewelry my late husband purchased for his crafts show business in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Most of it was stored very carefully with anti tarnish paper as was this bracelet so it\'s clean and in mint condition with naturally wonderful naturally acquired rather than artificial patina.

Before I describe this bracelet, I think it\'s important for prospective buyers to learn a few unpleasant truths about some Native American jewelry being sold in this venue that permits all manner of gross misrepresentations of Native American jewelry including fake \"vintage, pawn, and estate\" jewelry\" and classic southwestern turquoise. Most of what you\'ll find there is NOT any of the above!

In addition to the outright fraudulent descriptions, these phony pieces are being sold cheaply and they lead buyers to believe that vintage Native American jewelry with top grade old turquoise is dirt cheap. It isn\'t! Vintage jewelry worth owning can\'t be found by the thousands in any sales venue. When it is authentic, it sells for big bucks.

Don\'t be one of those buyers who buys on price alone because sooner or later you\'re likely to find out your treasures aren\'t what you were they were when you bought them.

This bracelet features four large oval rare and valuable classic old deep blue Morenci turquoise stones which is one of best quality and high collectible of the old turquoise varieties. Morenci turquoise was found in a Phelps Dodge copper mining pit in Arizona where miners often carried out loose turquoise nuggets and stones in their lunch boxes and sold them after work.

These gorgeous stones are all about 1\" by ½.\" The two center stones display pyrite matrix while the two side stones present dramatic deep black diffused or vein matrix.

Superb investment quality turquoise demands superb investment quality silver work as well, and this vintage bracelet doesn\'t disappoint. The artist hand stamped each of the four bezels with sunshine and miniature sun designs, added ten overlaid three dimensional flowers, three hand etched curved leaves, and 28 sun beads around the bezels. It\'s an amazing, one of a kind piece you\'ll be proud to own and wear.

At the center, the bracelet is 2 and 11/16ths\" wide and its heavy (each wire is ¼\" wide) four wire open bracelet frame tapers to 7/8ths\" at both reinforced terminals.

It has an inside measurement of 5¾\" and with a very carefully adjustable opening gap of 1¼\" making it suitable for wrists that are between 6¾\" and 7¼\" in circumference with little or very gentle adjustment of the shanks and/or terminals.

This is an investment quality true vintage bracelet with investment quality turquoise not something made last month to look old. The patina is entirely natural.

The original owner\'s last name and initials are engraved on the back.

Typical of its era, this bracelet is neither signed by the artist nor stamped. It tested as sterling silver and is guaranteed Navajo made.It tests as sterling.
