Here is a AN OLD AND FINE LOOKING, SMALLER NAVAJO RUG FROM ABOUT 1935 (1930-1940), HAND WOVEN WITH HAND SPUN AND HAND CARDED NAVAJO CHURRO SHEEP WOOLS. Note the well woven wools with much variegation (lines of color tone change) due to the hand spun and hand carded wools (earth tone) - see the close up pics of the wool! This weaving has great looking and classic pattern - and BEAUTIFUL WOOLS!
THIS WEAVING HAS A WOOD HANGING ROD - SEE PICS (The top end is folded over and rod is within sewn fold).

The size of this textile is approximately39\" X 19\",with a Trading Post Cotton Warpof about 8, and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 20-24.Abeautifully designed and well constructed piece of Native America!CONDITION - GOOD to EXC. For Age(Please see all pics!): The wools within this rug are in great condition (still have plenty of luster and sheen), NO Fading, NO Bleeding, NO Stains, NO Holes, there is some minorwear/fraying at the top end, on one sideonly(nearthe hanging rod-see pics).The End Selvage Cords are 100% present, but there is some wear at top end wherehanging rod is. The Side Selvage Warps are 100% intact/present. The corners are in good condition, and the corner ties are worn/gone due to time/use (see pic of corners). There is some minor fraying at top end edge, see pics.

NOTE THE VARIEGATION OF WOOL COLOR TONES DUE TO THE HAND SPUN AND HAND CARDED WOOLS!!!

THIS IS A CLASSIC NAVAJO WEAVING WHICH DISPLAYS VERY WELL AS A WALL HANGER (SEE PICS).
