Here is a very nice 1830-40s utilitarian (utility) or small medicine bottle, probably froma New England (Keene or Stoddard NH, Coventry CT, Cambridge MA) glasshouse, or possiblyNY state. This was a versatile little bottle form, often found with labels including medicine, ink, spices or household product. Primitive piece with bubble-filled olive green glass, and a nicely formed flared lip. These fragile lips are almost always broken during a cork pry, but this one is PERFECT and slightly turned down. The base has an offset seam known as a keyed mold, and a nice open pontil scar.

Color is pleasing olive green, almost a mossy color. Height is4 1/2\" tall, and body is a cylinder form. Condition is PRISTINE perfect.

This is a wonderful piece of primitive Americana! Nice colored utility, excellent glass clarity, and fantastic condition!
