New Haven Clock Co “Drink Blue Bird”dollar pocket watch in near mint condition. This is a stem wind and setnear mint condition dial, movement and nickel case in running condition. Notlisted in the Shugart guide but most likely from the 1930’ s or 40’s.

This watch is from the collection of Norman Tallan, the author of the article \"The American Dollar Watch\" that appeared in the April 2000 issue of the Bulletin of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Over the past forty years he assembled one of the finest and most extensive collections of rare and unusual dollar watches. He specialized in very early fine quality examples of all of the American dollar watch companies, in advertising watches, and in World\'s Fair watches. He collected these watches back in the days when wonderful examples were more available than they are now. He is in his 80\'s now and is offering these watches to others for the first time.
