Hi this is for the hobby kit, The Bi-Centennial of the Battle of Waterloo, in this handsome Revell of Germany Set. Has 17 cavalry British Life Guards(34 total parts), 48 French Grenadier Guards(49 total parts), and, 42 Prussian Infantry(after all this was made in Germany, 43 total parts). This niffy boxed set is in 1/72 scale, new, never opened.

This unitis used, onlyone of five sections of Star Fort made by Hobby Bunker. They were used with a drawn in remaining three sections as background, illustrating the rest of theStar Fort, for a diorama, of the Caribbean Pirate Era totheU.S. Civil War Eraof the mid-sixteen tomid-nineteen century. Thesection you gethas a lack of paint on the top wall, where I filled in the blank spot(see second picture). This section is about 16\" by 16\", it works best with 25mm & 1/72 scale figures(larger figures like 40mm & 54mm start to appear too big on top of the fort, but, work well in front of the fort). Also with attacking ships, you can vary the scale, as they can be placed as they were attacking from a distance.

The low angle walls stood up to cannon fire, in a way even double walled fortresses of the Middle Ages could not. They also because of their star shape, allowed a murderous cross fire to work over the attacking forces. With the coming of rifled cannon fire, and, their lack of supporting steel inner structures, they became obsolete in the last few decades of the nineteen century. Great for those Napoleonic sieges.Plus FREE U.S. Civil War Ironclad model(the Virginia is already built), something for the Star Fort to fight off(seelast picture, water base not included).
