HARDBACK,black leather bound with a type of metal post binding. Appears liketwo holes have been punched in the pages. On the back of the bookcover binder is printed: THE NATIONAL BLANK BOOK COMPANY N74-33878,CHICAGO, ILL. HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS NEW YORK, N.Y.

Sizeof book is approx. 8 3/4” wide x 11” high. Final back page isnumber 428.

Copyright,1945

NEWSPAPERINSTITUTE OF AMERICA, INC.

Printedon the title page:

TheTexts and Reference Manual of a Training Course in Modern Writing,Applying Metropolitan Journalistic practices, and Employing the CopyDesk Method.

Thisis broken down into NINE SECTIONS. I did not go page by page. I didnotice a printed name in upper right corner of the table of contentspage and some scribbling on this same page in one area. .

Conditionof the outer book: this does show wear along spine seam where bookcover opens. Wear and scuffing along edges;corner points.

Conditionof inner pages. I did not notice any loose or torn pages. Nonotations. If I missed something it was not intentional. Minorsmudge marks here and there. Minor brown discoloration due to age,but I was surprised at how clean the inner pages really are. There isan “old book smell” but not what I would call a “musty basementodor”.

Thereseems to be an awful lot of helpful information included for someonewho wants to be a writer or work for a newspaper. The FIRST SECTIONactually starts out with “The Reporter and His Opportunities” andgoes from that topic further into his career.

Note to Int\'l buyers- import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility.
