Antique Round Ornate 1/10th 12K Gold Filled

WINDSOR EYEGLASSES

Thesame style John Lennon usually wore. Common during the late 1800\'s and early1900\'s. In great condition, ready for your prescription lenses and for everydaywear. The eyeglasses have ornateengraved pattern on front of round lens frames, nose piece, and 1/3rdof side stems. Original carry case included for free.

CONDITION:

Theseare in very good vintage condition. Wehave inspected them to make sure they are fully functional. These glasses can take your prescription lens(made to fit the lens frame), and are suitable for daily wear.

SIZE:

Width: 4 1/16th inches

Temple Length: 3 1/4th inches(straight stem) plus 2 /12” inches (curved ear piece) for a total temple lengthof 5 3/4th “ inches.

Lens dimensions:approximately 37mm (x) 40mm

Bridge: metal gold filledbridge is approximately20mm

Space between nose pads: approximately 13mm. Spacecan be slightly adjusted by bending nose piece stems.

Most Vintage frames tend to run small. They were worn muchcloser to the face than today\'s frames. Pleasemake sure this size will work for you before ordering.

STYLE

The Windsorstyle was introduced in 1880. It remained popular thoughout the next severaldecades into the early 1900s. Of allvintage eyewear, these ornately engraved glass standout with their round lenses,saddle bridge, and temple stems/ear pieces that wrap around the ear. Windsor frames were generally gold and silvercolored. .

Many people associate the Windsor style with John Lennon and MahatmaGandhi. Ernest Hemingway and Teddy Roosevelt also wore the windsor eyewear. Today these antiqueeyeglasses are highly sought-after and very desirable and will make a greataddition to your collection.
