Scarce group of 9 Original WWI German Military Cigarette Cards

DESCRIPTION: Very interesting group of 9 original WWI German Military Cigarette cards. Came with packs of cigarettes, much like baseball cards come with gum now. Both for general interest and people at the time would collect them. Scans show them all.

Military cards and themes and scenes were very popular in Germany.

I have seen similar military cards that came in cigarette packs in Germany during WWII. The group in this listing was issued during WWI, and deal with WWI themes, from \"THE WORLD WAR\". They look like the WWII ones, but they each have WWI dates, titles/explanations in German, and they depict WWI scenes and show WWI uniforms and equipment, trenches, etc.

Different cigarette companies, including \"SALEM ZIGARETTEN\" (Salem cigarettes).

Each card is 2 1/2\" x 2\".Excellent condition.

This is a really nice grouping and something different !!! Can be part of your WWI or WWII German military collection, and of course also part of a cigarette card collection.
