The glaze color of this jar is not as bright blue as my digitals indicate. The last digital is closer to the true color than the earlier photos. Just so you know to expect a lighter blue. Made for the Speas Company in the mid. 30's, it has the shape of the Speas logo on the side of the jar. The cork lid is missing the pottery top. See page 216 of Gifford's Niloak Pottery reference book. Size: The jar is about 7" tall and about 8 1/4" side, excluding the cork insert. I don't see chips or cracks. I don't see any chips or cracks. On the handle side, there are several light spots that might be scuffs or could be minor production issues. See that photo, number 6, lower right.
