I am moving from North America to the Caribbean Islands and I am unable to take all of my beautiful antiques collections with me and therefore I am saleing this Vintage 1850\'s Hand Made English GOLD Carriage Clock Key Gem Quality
This Vinage 1850\'s Hand Made English GOLD Carriage Clock Key Gem Quality is another Collectible Surprise for all to get excited about and to offer on. This one came from an high end Antique Silver Shop in Detroit Michigan many years ago.. This is a delightful Original Carriage Clock Winder key in immaculate original undamaged condition. It is in the form of long Trumpet flaring out at the top to encase a fine jewelers gem quality, highly polished, RARE ENGLISH blood STONE in a superb oval table top mounting. This lovely Key is delightfully etched and engraved along the full lengh with long branches of leaves. They stop at the center to a free moving large gold eye for a connection to a vest watch chain. The engravings continue to the key wind end with the square tool. I could not find any hall marks or symbols to date, however it is most likely to date circa 1860. There are no repairs or damages and shows only light marks from use and wear. The key size is a No. 3. This piece is a true joy. This is a fabulous piece of nostalgia of days and ways gone buy for the Englisn Nobleman and Aristocratic Gentelman with their high fashions and superb watch fobs.
