Original battery operated metallic blue Zoomer robot with spanner. Made by Nomura (TN), Japan, c.1954.In its past, this robot has been a played with toy. As such, it shows signs of wear. There are scuff marks/scratches on the paint work and a very small amount of rusting on the exposed metal (due to age). There is a paint mark on his upper chest which is a slightly different blue than the rest (pictured). I am not sure whether it was a factory touch-up or something somebody else has done. However, the toy still displays nicely and is very collectible.
Stamped with \"JAPAN\" on underside of body (between legs).
When a battery is inserted, the Zoomer\'s eyes light up red but unfortunately he does not walk (these toys were never strong walkers to begin with).
The fact that he lights up means that it is partially working and with some attention from a knowledgeable individual it is entirely possible for the robot to be functional again (I\'ve always enjoyed him as is). This is an old battery operated toy of around 60 years and I cannot guarantee that it will function. Occasionally wires inside old toys break lose during transit due to aging solder. I am not responsible if this occurs. It will be packed exceptionally well to limit the possibility of damage and sent via registered post.
