This pretty matching set of hand painted decorative porcelain has a lovely black and white decorated trim with wide orange bands. The center vase with fruit and flowers has a yellow luster background. The small double handle tidbit tray measures approx. 7 3/4" (~19.69 cm) wide. The matching oval celery dish or bowl is approx. 9 1/2" (~24.13 cm) long x 4 1/4" (~10.8 cm) wide.
There is normal wear consistent with age on both. The oval bowl has small chips on the edges of both handles, otherwise they are in very good condition, free of cracks, repairs and crazing. The set was made in Japan by independent companies for Nippon Toki Kasha (Noritake Co.), for the US market. The cherry blossom with 5 M\'s dates the set to 1924. Both are a nice size for candy or small tidbits and would make a great colorful statement. A wonderful addition to any collection!
