This is a charming bird sculpture by noted Michigan artist Norman Brumm, depicting a chickadee that has just alighted on a piece of wood (the stained and sealed driftwood base), next to a flowering strawberry plant with two sets of leaves, a white flower and a small strawberry.

Really beautiful colors in the enamel, from the detailed striping of the chickadee\'s wings and tail to the truly spectacular glaze pattern in the strawberry leaves.

Signed twice, once with a branded signature in the wood base and once in the enamel under the bird\'s body. There is a chip in the enamel on the chickadee\'s throat (pictured) and no other chips or flaws that I can see. There is an area under a wing that has small bits of missing enamel, but that appears to me to have occurred in firing.

Approximately 5.5\" long, 5\" wide and 4\" high. I always pack and ship with great care so that your items arrive to you safely.
