Offered for consideration is an Invitation to the 1997 Inauguration of President-elect Bill Clinton and Vice-President-elect Al Gore, a Mint envelope for the Invitation from the Presidential Inaugural Committee, and a full pageCalendar/Guide of 1997 Inaugural Events.

The invitation is printed on a heavy cream stock and measures 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.

This is anOfficial Inaugural Invitation, not a commemorative one. The difference between the real and the reproduction can be seen in3 ways:

1. The Inaugural Seal on the real Inaugural Invitation is a thick/heavy gold one. The Seal is raised from the stock it is printed on;

2. The Inaugural Seal also is larger on the real/authentic Invitation. This one is approximately 1 5/8 inches in diameter; and

3. The type on the real Inaugural invitation is larger than that on the reproductions. It is also a darker black as it is not a copy.

This Invitation hasthe large, heavy, bold Seal and the bolder, larger print.

The envelope for the Invitationcame from the Presidential Inaugural Committee. There are nomarkings on it as we picked it up from the Inaugural Committee in person. It was not mailed. Only the sealed flap on its back has been opened so we could photograph its contents.

The 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch Calendar of Public Inaugural Events is printed on a heavy cream stock. It is beautifully done and guides one through events at The Mall, the Capitol, etc.

The 3 Items are great collectibles that only will appreciate with time.
