Beautiful old German violin - Johann Theophile Lutz 1901.

This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and surely some marks in its old amber varnish. The middle seam of the back has been re-glued some time ago. The table is finely grained spruce and the back is nicely flamed maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. It received new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings.These are new silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Good old German violin in immediate playing condition! Please listen to the sound on youtube ! Measures aprox.: total 59 cm / 23.2\", body 36 cm / 14.17\", vibrating chord length 32 cm / 12.6\", weight 530 gr / ~18.66 oz.
