Offeredhere is a wonderfully graphic, heavy beautifully hand crafted vintage Sterling silver Hopi overlay belt buckle. The silver work consists of a heavy rectangular shaped, slightly domed plate of Sterling silver that has been overlaid with a second sheet of silver in which the images of the Eagle, Sunface Kachina, stars, water and mesas were very expertly hand sawn out. The background has the classic texturing and oxidation of Hopi silver work in order to bring out the boldness of the design. It bears the makers initials \"SC\" and is hallmarked Sterling silver. Other than some very fine superficial scratches and oxidation at the back, this buckle looks virtually unworn! Finely crafted and of bold design, if you were to own just one overlay belt buckle, this would be a classic!

The buckle measures 3\" wide, by 2\" top to bottom as you see it in the picture. The rectangular bracket on the back measures 1 1/2\" and would accommodate that size leather belt.
