***Please ask all questions prior to buying!*** This sale is for a most exquisite gown from the Edwardian period. Labeled \"Boggs & Buhl, it is made of flowing silk jaquard in a silvery-white printed with black foliated branches. The fabric has a wonderful feel and drape. It is trimmed with lots of sumptuous lace and tiny silk bubble appliques. The skirt is full, constructed with cut-outs, inset lace panels and structural tabs. The bodice features an asymmetrical front opening and long bishop sleeves with elegant lace cuffs. Both bodice and skirt are lined with ivory silk taffeta. The skirt lining is trimmed with a fussy frilled hem. The bodice and collar are boned and fasten with hooks/eyes. Brooch not included. Condition: Structurally sturdy. There is some light discoloration to the lace, which may clean out, but cleaning is not advised. The back neck of the dress has deterioration as well as the silk lining. Please see photos. Measurements are: The bust is about 40 inches (it should be loose and full) & the waist is about 26 inches; The front length from the waist is 40 inches.Please note: Measurements are approximate and should be taken as maximum.
