This vintage Native American designed bowl is a fine example made by the Native American potter artist Martina Aquino who lived from 1920 - 1982 of the Ohkay Owingeh ( San Juan) Pueblo in New Mexico. The bowl features red pigment Bas relief design with the rim and under body being stone polished and the crisp carved/etched design area of the bowl a matte finish. The bowl is in excellent condition showing light/minimal handling. The bowl has no cracks, scratches, chips, marring, breaks or discoloring. The bowl is incised signed by the artist \"Martina Aquino.\" Martina is listed as having First Prize at the Santa Fe Indian market in 1974 and several other awards through 1981.
