First I need to say that I know VERY little about Chinese cultural items and have no idea as to the age or particular region of origin for this item. It is a Chinese bronze male figure/scholar relaxed on a tree reading a book. The end of the tree is uniquely formed and hollowed outfor what appears to be use as an incense burner. The hollowed out area extends back underneath the figure. It is in very good vintage condition with a great natural patina. It measures approx. 5 1/2\" Tall by 6\" wide. There are no markings on the bottom. Please view all the photos as an important part of thedescription.
