Old German Stradivarius Violin & Sandner Bow, 4/4:

This is one of the many late 19th-early 20th century Stradivarius copies and the actual maker and date is unknown. The typical Stradivarius signature is printed in faded black on the wood inside along with the circle with AS and cross. I could find no imprint of the actua lmaker. Nor can I definitively date it.
The wood on the front is all one piece, the back appears to be two joined pieces. The bow has the maker imprinted on it, Sandner, as shown. There is a second bow which is missing the little turner at the end and is in very bad condition which I will include but think it is worth nothing. I had the Sandner bow professionally rehaired and also got the new strings professionally put on it by a violin shop here recently. The bridge is impressed \"Dresden\" but of course this may have been replaced at some point.
I have tried to show the condition as well as I can. There are a couple black spots on the case, and a lot of little pits in the varnish. There is no visible damage other than the loosened inlay border coming up slightly as a result of wood shrinkage on the back side.
The violin comes in a very used case, wood with black cloth covering, which still closes OK. The storage part is in bad shape and some of the lining is worn off. It all appears to have been used well by someone.
