Old Growth (planted 1820\'s-30\'s) Cherry Pennsylvania rough cut 16x8x1\" #2:
$19.99

This is a rough cut slab of cherry hardwood from central Pennsylvania. It was planted when the land was originally homesteaded in the 1820\'s/30\'s and was cut in 1983, originally for firewood before it was recognized for what it was. The tree was still living at the time and this was a branch; the tree was at least 4 feet in diameter, but not very tall, perhaps about 8 feet to the point where it branched out. This slab is 16\" by 8\" by 1\" minimum and weighs 3.75 pounds. It could easily be slabbed into thinner pieces, sanded and polished. Wet pictures show how it would appear with polish.I have been lugging this around ever since hoping to turn it into something for my wife. Well she is gone, and I have no place to work it so am selling. It weighs 3.75 pounds and will cost about $15.50 to ship. I have three others I will be selling and will combine to ship if you want more than one slab. 2 slabs will fit in a large flat rate box for $17.90 plus insurance if you want it.
