This is a mid-century Hopi Indian silver overlay pin set with turquoise. The overlay style was new after WW II and the Hopi artists would still sometimes use turquoise with overlay. This is a simple elegant design that suggests movement in a spiral pattern with rain cloud symbols. This a large pin / pendant, it measures 3\" across. The beautiful natural turquoise stone is in good condition and set into simple silver bezel. The pin mechanism works easily and well. Overall, this is a great example of early Hopi silver overlay and is in great condition.
