You are viewing a vintage Native American sterling silver concho belt buckle hallmarked JG, the hallmark of Navajo silversmith Johnson Gluerro, who designed and produced beautiful jewelrythroughout the1940s and 1950s. This belt buckle measures approximately 4\" across by 3\" high, and weighs 73 grams. It is handwrought from sterling silver, and the face of the buckle is hand chased with a pattern surrounding a rope coil that frames the turquoise cabochon. The turquoise is notbezel set, but rather it appears as if the silver was molded around it. Thepiece of turquoise is matrixed with iron pyrite.
