Sterling Silver Petrified WoodRing in Excellent Vintage condition!

From the Fred Harvey Era approx. 1930\'s-1950\'s, Unsigned

What a great petrified wood gemstone in a CLASSIC sterling silverring! Thisring dates back to the \"Fred Harvey Era\" .It was hand made by Native American silversmith. It is unsigned, so I do not know if it was made to be sold atone of the trading posts such as Bell Trading Post or Maisel\'s. This one features a stunning petrified wood gemstone thatis bezel set and surrounded with the classictwisted wire trim and little raindrops. It is so COLORFUL - lots of yellow and orange, plus black and greys. The gemstone is domed, polished to a high shine, and is secure in the setting. There is no damage to this ring, just some light surface scratching from gentle use in the past. It has been tested and confirmed to be solid sterling silver.

A bit more about the petrified wood gemstone: It is a high quality, beautiful specimen, with black, tan and red coloration. You can clearly see the wood grain in the stone. It is abeautiful gemstone, 3/4\" tall, flawless. There are petrified wood \"forests\" in the deserts of Arizona. There were giant redwoods at one time that got buried in volcanic ash and turned into these beautiful agatized gemstones. Amazing, isn\'t it?
