Old Pawn! Vintage 1968(?) Gibson (B25-N?) Small Body Acoustic Guitar
- This is a beautiful, vintage guitar straight from \"old pawn\" stock. Damage to the body are in cosmetic nature only (i.e. fine cracks & chips in the finish). Please refer to pictures.
- Believed to be a 1968, B25-N (we can not guarantee this since it is not actually marked B25)
- Serial Number 954360 (there is a number 2 stamped above the serial number)
- Original owner engraved a number on the back of the head below the serial number (see pics)
- Neck & Body are straight
- Small Body (measures approximately 11\" across the hips, 14\" across the bottom, 19\" overall body length)
- X-Bracing under body top
- Mahogany Back & Sides, Spruce Top & Rosewood Fingerboard with dots of M.O.P.
- Body Color: Front is Natural, Back & Sides are Translucent Dark Brown, Binding is Yellow/Black/Yellow
- Gibson Head Logo, gold silkscreen
- Kluson Deluxe Tuning Keys, marked in two vertical lines
- Includes beautiful deluxe hard shell case! (unknown if this is an original Gibson case, did not see any markings)
The research we have done on vintage Gibson guitars indicates that this is most likely a B25 model and by the serial number, was made in 1968. There is a number 2 above the serial number that delineates a factory 2nd issued to dealers or employees at a discounted rate. Additionally, two different local guitar collectors have agreed that B25-N is the likely model and that the guitar is in excellent condition with good sound quality!
I do not know the history here, but because the model number is no longer visible, it may have had repair done inside. If you notice in the pictures, the wood strip inside the sound hole is a much lighter color than elsewhere.
