The turquoise, coral, mother of pearl and black jet. The Zunis believe in six sacred directions, Above, North, East, South, West and Below. Each of the directions is associated with a color. North - yellow, East - white, South - Red, West - Blue, Below - black and Above - multi colored. The majority of Zuni inlay jewelry features turquoise, coral, black jet and mother of pearl as a representation of the sacred directions.
The bolo measures 3-1/8\"long and 1-3/4\"wide.The cord measures 38\" long including the sterling silvertips that measure 1-1/4\" long.Entire weight of tie is 46.9g. In very good vintage condition with a heavy patina.
