Older oak splint egg gathering buttocks basket measures 8 3/4\" to the top of the handle. Opening is 7 1/2\" by 7\". White finish appears to be old also but looks more like a wash than paint as it is thin.Basket is very nicely made and I find only 2 small breaks that can be seen in the picture of the inside of the basket.
