You are offerding on a rare antique Arab saif/sword. This is a very good example, a 19th century piece. It features the typical silver hilt in very good condition retaining even the decorative small chains. The hilt is beautifully decorated. The blade is unusual and probably VERY OLD having three fullers. Typically the saif blade have one large fuller and they are very similar with the blades from the German blucher swords, sometimes of European origin. This blade is very nice showing age but being still in good condition. There are three round gold inserts still visible in the blade (please see the last picture) showing Persian or local manufacture. The sword is 33-1/2 inches long from which the blade is 28 inches long and it is 1-1/2 inches wide. A great rare piece. Low reserve and have fun... and offer high:-)
