This offering is for an original Native American Indian Basket. The basket was made by the Choctaw in the south Eastern United States and it dates from the 1900 to 1920\'s era. The basket is small and 7.25\" in maximum diameter, the body measures 5.5\" tall and the height to the top of the handle is 9.25\". The basket features a squared base that transitions to round at the shoulders and mouth and is made of river cane. The colored designs are still fairly bold with minor fading. I found only two broken strips of cane that have no losses to the breaks, they are nearly impossibly to locate being on the bottom edge of one side near a corner. The basket is very clean and displays with a wonderful classic styling and color tone that\'s gotten harder and harder to find.
