This is made from vitreous enamel fused onto sheet steel.Heavy gauge - unlike modern versions this one can\'t be bent easily.Very durable. Made around 1900.

The white enamel is in bas relief, suggesting high quality craftsmanship and giving excellent definition.

Surviving examples this age on the open market are exceptionally rare.

I have around 300 similar examples all from properties in a street near Lyon in Rhône-Alpes, France yet to be listed. It will take me a while to list all - if you let me know your number then I\'ll have a look. Or it may be among others already listed on UK.
