Y ou are offerding on a vintage Masai spear that dates from 1964 or before but made after 1950 anyway. I got three spears that were collected in the same time and they had some newspaper small fragments to keep the blade in that dated from 1964 please see last picture. The spears were collected probably short after they were made probably around 1950-1960 so they retain most of the blade blacksmith made finish on them and do not have a lot of patina on the handle. This one is 83 inches long from which the blade is 43 inches long. The spear is decently made compared with more recent ones has a flared tip, and is thick with mid ridge and quite heavy but not as nice as the early 20th century ones made before the British put a ban on local made blades and tried to replace them with imported blades action that resulted in disappearance of local blacksmiths. I am listing old vintage and antique knives, spears, masks, figures etc many cultures many good pieces see my other listings. and have fun... and offer high:-)
