You are now viewing an original 1800s dated British Powder Horn. This is an amazing example of a metal-fitted horn that has an inscribed plate dated 1893. Overall Length is about 10 inches. It was presented to John Sherard Reeve on his 21st birthday by the workers on his father\'s estate in Leadenham, England.
Master Reeve went on to be a Captain of his Majesty\'s Regiment of Grenadier Guards and was High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1911. He was a noted Huntsman and author of a book of hunting songs. A very attractive piece from an influential British family. Overall in Good+ to Very Good condition. (The images speak for themselves).
