Up for sale is this American Flyer Original 1934 Color Consumer Catalog. It is all original and complete.

1934 was an important year for American Flyer as they introduced their first modern Streamlined Train into their O Gauge line, the famous Zephyr. Also notable was the top of the line O Gauge passenger set, the Ambassador, for the first time, included four of the magnificent 11 1/2\" long 3300 series red passenger cars. For the first time, transformers were included in all sets. These changes were implemented to deal with the severe depression that was at its peak in 1934. More value, lower costs, and innovation were the only way toy train manufacturers could remain in business.

This catalog has 32 pages, and is marked \"JOB-714\". Some of the pages are illustrated in the photographs.Beautiful, vibrant color is throughout this original catalog and not found in the catalog reproductions.

Condition is as follows: Overall EX (P7).

Please inspect the photos and my description carefully. You are offerding on the catalog shown in the photographs. Know what you are offerding upon.

Good luck to all you buyers!

I do not use the terms rare or very rare lightly. A rare item may turn up at one of the largest train shows, or sales in a given year, or perhaps a few times on during a year. For very rare items, perhaps one might show up in all venues over the course of a year, sometimes none.

I specialize in only American Flyer and have been a collector and TCA member for more than 41 years. Since photos can\'t show everything, I inspect each item and use TCA grading standards. Often, one grade cannot be applied to the entire piece so I go a step further, and grade roof, body, and frame. Sometimes the four sides of a body are separately graded to give, you, the buyer, the best possible knowledge of what you are buying. Based on my experience, I will add additional information such as production dates, relative rarity, and comparative condition to average items found.
