Original German WWI Bayonet 1884-\'98 1st Pattern with Regiment marked Scabbard. According to Janzen this was converted from the 71/84 by removing the muzzle ring and extending the T slot to fit Mauser rifles. The blade is marked \'ERFURT\' with a crown on one side; and other side is \'WEYERSBURG & KIRSHBAUM & CO. SOLIGEN\'. Theres also a \'W87\' on the spine. Please study our photos as they show whats there & describe best. A regiment ID on top of metal fitting on scabbard reads \'B10 R11.161\'. A not very common WW1 German bayonet that is 130+ years old, push button works, grips are intact with no cracks. Blade is original configuration. We don\'t see evidence of any rust on blade. The hilt has rust patina that buyer may want to clean. The leather on scabbard is soft, and aged, because of this the metal fittings are not tight, although they are still secure and the 2 staples are intact.
