This sale is for the authentic pencil signed Louis Icart Original 1927 Etching \" SPEED \" It has the Paris windmill stamp bottom left corner.Inscribed in pencil lower left: \"Ep. d\'A\" (Épreuve d\'Artiste, Artist\'s Proof). Etching and aquatint with touches of handcoloring printed on wove paper, signed in pencil\', with the blindstamp of the artist, copyrighted and dated in the plate, published by Les Graveurs Modernes, Paris, with wide margins, in excellent condition and has the untouched original frame. This is not matted, you are seeing a hand inked border on the original full sheet with none of the problems associated with matting. The image measures 14½ x 24¾ in. The frame measures 22 1/2\" x 32 1/2\". Truely one of Icarts best etchings and in exceptional condition.
