Up for sale is a beautiful antique Danish landscape oil painting on canvas depicting snow laden woods by the listed Danish artist Ole Dun. This oil on canvas measures approximately 18.25 x 14 inches and comes unframed. This scene is a gorgeous original by a quality Danish artist who lived from 1875 - 1925. This original is signed and dated in the lower right hand corner, \"Ole Dun 1917\", painted just 8 year prior to his death. The canvas is in very good condition except for one small puncture in the canvas in the lower right and low middle as seen on the reverse.
This oil painting came out of a large collection of originals from a estate in Denmark. This collection has been stored away until this last month when I was able to purchase a majority of the works. While this oil on canvas is unsigned the majority date to the 1920\'s which I believe this one dates too as well. Also, many listedScandinavian (mostly Danish) artists were in this set as seen here.
The quality is wonderful and the condition is very good. This is ready to be hung and enjoyed in your home or collection.
