This is an original example of the first model of the Tilley X246 kerosene lantern, produced in England in 1946. This one is all brass, with the exception of the top of the hood, which is steel with bright orange baked enamel with some chips to one side. It still has most of the original gold paint, which has worn in places, and is dirty. I have stripped it and cleaned it and fitted new seals and gaskets so that it now burns good as shown. There are no dents, but some wear, photos best describe the condition. Original old deep bottom globe does not have any chips or cracks. I will include a copy of origin al instructions for this lamp, they are very hard to find as well, and a spare mantle. New pump bucket will need to be oiled and softened before use.
