Wonderful antique French Belle Epoque era sterling silver 3pc ecuelle, bouillon or caviar serving set including bowl, lid and under plate or saucer with ornate spiral fluted rococo style and fabulous condition! The French term \"ecuelle\" literally means \"a 2-handled bowl used for soup\" or \"drinking bowl\". This happens to be one of two 3pc sets that we\'re adding today and both could really be used for just about anything you could imagine. This, the larger of the two, has a 7\" saucer and the actual dish is 8 1/4\" wide with the handles and is 4 1/4\" tall with the lid and finial. Add some ice chips and a floating glass dish on top and you have an elegant caviar serving piece! All three pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number \"1\" in the upper right corner means they\'re all in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for \"sterling\" silver). The silversmith marks are for Rudolphe Beunke, Paris circa 1888-1910. We\'ll leave the use up to you but, as you can see, anything you put in it is bound to be SO much more pleasurable both for the eye and the palate. Excellent condition. All three pieces are pristine with no dents, damage or repairs. See pictures for individual measurements and weights.

Insurance has been eliminated as an option by , forcing us sellers to either ship your items without insurance or assume that expense also. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replacable. Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is recieved (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
