Bisque socket head with beautiful modeling and expert painting, with original blue glass eyes (now set), framed by painted lashes, thick feathered brows, and an open mouth with three upper teeth and a dimpled chin, with lightly blushed cheeks. Overall pale bisque. The bottom of the bisque neck has a rare glazed finish, a trait among the earliest Handwerck dolls, which allow the head to swivel more freely. Her ears are pierced, and she wears a soft dark brown human hair wig in banana curls that come down to her shoulders. She is on a beautiful Handwerck wood & composition body with original HANDWERCK stamp on the back. Has lovely original finish, and tight stringing so she can pose. Stands at 23\" tall. She is adorned in a cute pale pink silk-cotton blend dress, with black piping, while a pink bow sits in her hair to bring out the color. Underneath goes a white cotton full slip and matching pantaloons, both with lace trim. Black cotton knit socks and black faux leather shoes adorn her feet.

MARKS: 109 -- 12 DEP Germany

CONDITION: Generally Excellent. Gorgeous, pale bisque with expert and delicate painting of features, crisp and deep modeling of an absolutely gorgeous face, pleasant, subtle color. The bisque head is absolutely free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration! She has some wig pulls along the sides of the head near the rim, but it is not noticeable with the wig, and are relatively minor. The glass eyes used to sleep, but have been set. The wood & composition body with shiny original finish and in great condition with only the most minimal expected age wear, and she bears the red HANDWERCK mark on the back, a truly desirable trait. The thigh socket balls have some re-gluing and minor repair/wear. She has great pose-ability, and is bound to make a great addition to the collection.
