PAIR ART DECO 1940s Asymetrical Arm Chairs Mohair WILD Design MUST SEE Unique:
$1200.00
These chairs for for pick-up in Baltimore or buyer can arrange shipping. We have a truly incredible pair of early art deco chairs that have been in storage forever. They are in excellent condition and as you can see in the photos, they are monumental. I believe they are 1940s and have a unique hybrid feeling of Victorian and Deco. They feature stepped arms (not the same height) and a wild image of a peacock and flowers on the back of each. This is raised and stitched through and creates a pillowing look. I don\'t see a manufacturer name anywhere on these chairs, but they are very well constructed and solid. And as mentioned, appear almost brand new with only a couple of very small pinhole marks of mohair loss. Certainly a conversation piece and they will have their detractors as they are pretty wild, but very unique.- carved feet and scroll top- gold rope fringe- mohair (I think)- brass nails/rivets- tufted arms- painted gold embellishmentsMeasurements:43\"-37 1/2\" (scroll top)29\" wide25\" arm height Thanks for looking!
