This is a handsome Pair of Vintage Carved Wood Faux Boix Armchairs upholstered in a vibrant wide stripe material. These chairs have incredible frames, entirely carved to resemble natural wood or trees, professionally upholstered in a wonderful black and tan wide stripe with double cording throughout. There is a label affixed to the bottom of the lining of one chair which reads, \"Renovated or Repaired by Gary Monselle, Los Angeles, California (see photo provided). These chairs are sold as a PAIR only.
Each chair measures approximately 40 1/4\" tall to the back center, about 26 1/4\" wide at the front of the seat, 28\" wide at the arms, 27 1/2\" deep to the top of the back, the seat height of each chair is about 18 1/2\" at the center of the seat.
Condition is very good with minor wear expected and commensurate with Vintage/Previously Owned items. Each chair is sturdy and strong with minimal wear to the wood carved frame. Fabric is in very good to remarkable condition with no major issues to report, very gently used. As can be seen in the last photo, the black under lining on one chair is torn.
