For your consideration is afabulous matched pair ofvintage, mid century ceramiclamps by the renownedMartz studio. The ceramic portions of each lamp have a beautifulbrown speckled pattern over adark taupe background, and the bottom sectionalso hasthe incised stripes that were common in many Martz designs (picture3).

These have a unusual switch configuration- with the on/off switch being in the lower front of lamp base- which we have not seen on other Martz lamps. Though they still retain the typical switch on the brass-toned socket portion of the lamp (picture 8),these are non-functional.

Theneck of the lamps are a rich tone wood, probably teak, and this portion of each lamp is about2.5 inches high. One has a slight scratch (picture 6) but this won\'t be seen when a shade is in place.

Both lamps retain what looks to be the original brown cord, and one has a brown plug while the other has a white one. They have a brown felt covering on the underside (picture 9), and both have the Martz signature on the back, near the cord entry point, although it is somewhat faint (see pictures 4 and5).

They are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips,or breaksto either the ceramic or wood portions. PLEASE NOTE, however, that one of the lamps is missing the on/off switch on the front (see picture 11 for close-up).This is an easy fix for a lamp shop or most hardware stores. We have priced this pair accordingly.

The lamps do not include harps,shades or finials.

Measurements are:

Height to top of socket: approx. 20.5 inches

Height to top of ceramic portion: approx. 15.25 inches

diameter of lower ceramic body: approx. 6.5 inches

The lamp with its switch in place is in working order (picture 12).We can\'t tell on other lamp due to lack of switch. As with any vintage lighting, you may want to consider re-wiring both lamps for safety.
