Pair of Georgian Solid Silver Salt Spoons, Hallmarked Birmingham, 1826 (ref: 3138)If purchasing or offerding on more than one item, please contact me for a combined invoicebefore paying for your items.These are a pair of George IVsolid silver salt spoons, probably by Samuel Pemberton, hallmarkedfor Birmingham, 1826The spoons are in the fiddle pattern andhavecircularshaped bowls.The spoons do not have a monogram present.The spoonsare fully hallmarked on the back of the handles:The makers mark is badly stamped or is a overstamp of the original mark on both spoons, but it looks likeit is SP for Samuel Pemberton (both are shown in photo below for you to decide for yourself)King\'s head (duty mark)Lion passantAnchor for Birmingham assay officeDate letter C for 1826Actual hallmarks shown below.Size:98mm lengthCondition:No dents to the spoon bowls and no bending to the handles. One spoon has a very minor bend to thespoon bowl edge, which makes the spoon bowl very slightly \'out of round\', highlighted in red in photobelow.There are some minor surface marks, tiny and linescratches, tiny dinks to the spoon edges inplaces,these are consistent with age and use.Weight:Weight of items without packaging 21.6gItems will be well packed for dispatch.I do try to keep postal costs to a minimum, but packaging materials i.e bubble wrap, boxes, jiffy bags etc,are not cheap to obtain.
