This is an original printed proof page for the classic newspaper comics strip Peanuts, by the legendary Charles M. Schultz (legendary writer and artist of the Peanuts strip, and creator of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Pigpen, Schroeder, Marcie, Sally, Franklin, Rerun, etc.). This proof sheet is for strips from the week ofMay 21-26, 1973. It includes6 complete daily strips together on one sheet (May 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26), and each strip has some classic Peanuts humor! The page measuresapproximately 10" by17", and is in very good condition, particularly for its age (around40 years old!).It has been folded across the middle vertically and horizontally (commonly done for syndicate proofs). The picture shows some waviness on the middle edges, but that is from the scanner, those lines are not on the actual piece when you see it for real. There are not likely to be many surviving Peanuts proofs, which would of course make this piece very rare. This is a fantastic piece forthe collection for a fan of the strip or the Peanuts cartoons, and would lookgreat framed and prominently displayed.

Please note that this is an authentic piece from the 1970's. We have been told there are reprint production art pieces being listed by other sellers that make them seem to be old and from original printings, even though they are not (for example, older production art did not have the words on a separate sheet from the images. Those kinds of things were only done much more recently, using computer technology). We advise buyers to be careful, as there are disreputable sellers tricking many people into believing they are purchasing items that are older and more valuable than what they actually are. This item is a genuine production piece from the '70's, not something made for a reprint. We clearly differentiate items from original printings and items from reprints, so you can buy with confidence.
