Offered for sale is a LARGE and beautiful antique porcelain PITCHER made by Porcelain Limousine (PL) of Limoges, France. It has a bold hand painted design of nuts or fruit with leaves, against a matte-finish ivory background. It is adorned with lots of heavy gold trim.

The pitcher measures 9 inches (22.9cm) long front to back, and stands 5 3/4 inches (14.6cm) tall to the rim. A U.S. quarter is shown in the first two pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.

There is one small chip on the spout (pictures 4 and 5) that has been repainted with gold to make it less noticeable. Apart from this one flaw, the pitcher is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or scratches, and no discoloration or crazing of the glaze. The metallic gold details are bright and shiny, and the only wear I could find to the gold was on the top of the handle (picture 3).

The back is stamped in green with the PL LIMOGES FRANCE mark, which indicates the pitcher was made by Porcelain Limousine between 1906 and the late 1930s.
