PA Cherry Tall Case / Grandfather Clock c. 1820:
$2550.00

A big Eastern Pennsylvania tall case clock. The case is cherry and appears all original to include glass, feet, finials, finish.
This was originally a 30 hour clock. According to the prior owner, her grandfather had it converted around 1900 to the current 8-day German movement and English dial. It is tagged \"Elite Germany\" and this movement won the grand prize at the 1884 World\'s Fair in St Louis. It really is a fine movement with a deadbeat escapement, not recoil as most English and American movements were at the time. I\'ve had it gone over and it runs fine. Because it\'s 1900 or so it strikes the half hour also.
There is no backboard behind the bonnet, typical of 30 hour clocks.
So, this is the perfect clock for the person that wants a PA moon dial and doesn\'t want to pay 2-5 times as much.
Measures 98\" x 19\" by 10\".
Pickup here or choose a carrier you will pay directly. Both Maas Transport and U Ship will give you a quote online. Use 95# for the weight and 3 boxes for the bonnet, weights and movement. The case needs to be blanket wrapped.
