Guaranteed authentic. This is one of two strands of beads that I\'m currently selling that came from \'Ye Olde Curiosity Shop\' in Seattle, sometime during WWII. This establishment sold curiosities, many Native American items, and my grandfather purchased many strands of beads and artifacts from the shop when stationed in Seattle during WWII, and I have been slowly selling off the excess over the years. The two strands that I am currently listing (separate sales) are unique because they were apparently salesman\'s samples, samplings of the multitude of colors of \'Padre\' beads that could be manufactured / purchased. No two colors of beads on the strands are the same, three beads of each color, 29 colors in all on this strand (28 on the other strand). These were most likely manufactured in Venice or pre-war Germany/Bohemia. The actual beads on the strand measure a total of 23 inches, and are strung on several strands of old cotton cord. These are some of the exact beads that were traded to the Native Americans of the Western Plains and Northwest Coast from the 1800s and on through the early 1900s. This is a very rare chance to own a sampling of the wide array of trade bead colors that were actually used by Native Americans of the period. Truly historic. Guaranteed authentic as stated.
