Rare pair antique Japanese Arita ware Imari decorated bowls signed Fuki Choshun with four character blue mark. Each measures approximately 6 inches in diameter. One heavier ( 11.5 ounces ) than it\'s slightly smaller partner ( 8.1 ounces). The heavier with glaze discoloration and loss to glaze around top rim edge on back. The smaller with chip to rim on back. These imperfections are shown in detailed photos. Please note wonderful black spots and other kiln impurities.
The four character Fuki Choshun mark consistent with early 19th century Edo Arita ware Imari...or so I have read and seen on other similarly marked examples.
