Pair of Minton Hand Painted 2172 Floral & Gold Gilt Dinner Plates C. 1891 - 1920Absolutely stunning pair of porcelain dinner plates. Nicely decorated with three groupings of hand painted Dresden / Meissen style lfowers in pink, red, green, purple, yellow, blue and orange. With an elaborately fancy border of gold gilt oval pattern, a dark peachy cream color, and Art Nouveau style gold gilt floral scrollwork. Signed on the front by the artist B Smith. Marked on the reverse with a crown over a globe with Mintons and a wreath over England. This mark was used by Minton between 1891 and 1920. Also marked with the pattern number 2172. These have some usage wear to the center, but are in otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Each plate measures 10 1/4\" wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the pieces. Please see my other listings for more Minton porcelain and ceramics. B4
