This is a great looking pair of vintage Art Deco Dodge spelter greyhound racing dogs bookends.

I would estimate they date circa 1930s.

At their longest points, they each measure 7 3/8 inches wide by 5 inches high (18.7 cm x 12.7 cm). The bases measure 5 5/8 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches deep (14.3 cm x 6.35 cm).

They are each made of spelter metal with a copper/brass colored finish. Over the years, the color has tarnished, creating a beautiful patina.

Neither is cracked or repaired. They do have some scattered scratches and scuff marks. The backs on each have patches of discoloration to the finish.

Most of this just tends to blend in giving them their great old look.

They both have their original green felt bottoms.

They are both marked on the back bottom DODGE, INC.

The pair weighs a little over 3 lbs. 1 oz. (1.394 kg).
